About Me
My name is Michaela. I am a 30-year-old student writer. I attended the University of Wisconsin Fox Valley in 2010, and graduated with my Associate Degree from the University of Oshkosh in 2020. During my time at UW-Fox, I reported for the Fox Journal, the student-run campus newspaper, eventually becoming copy-editor for a semester. Also, I won the V.I Minihan Journalism Scholarship and the Liberal Arts Essay Competition while in attendance at Fox. I then took some time off college and wrote for Appleton Monthly Magazine briefly in 2016, and later began interning and then freelancing at Fox Cities Magazine from 2017-2022. I am now working toward my Bachelor's Degree in Multimedia Journalism (at UWO). I earned the Dave Engels Journalism Scholarship there. I hope to use my site as a platform to display all my professional writing. This way, future employers will see I have put a lot of hard work, time and dedication into my art.
